Ende 2016 wurde für das Elephone P9000 ein Upgrade auf Android 7.0 Nougat angekündigt. Leider war das einzige das bisher veröffentlicht wurde eine Beta Version. Das finale Upgrade via OTA lies bisher auf sich warten, sodass viele Besitzer eines Elephone P9000 recht enttäuscht dastehen und teils die Hoffnung aufgegeben haben.

Nun hat sich Elephone allerdings auf Facebook nochmal zu Wort gemeldet und ein kurzes Update zum Stand der Dinge veröffentlicht. Demnach soll das Elephone P9000 weiterhin ein Upgrade auf Android 7.0 erhalten. Laut den Angaben des Herstellers ist das Update fast fertig und man ist aktuell noch damit beschäftigt das System zu optimieren.

Ein konkretes Release Datum hat man zwar nicht angegeben, doch die Info lässt hoffen, dass das Elephone P9000 im Laufe des Monates April endlich das OTA Update erhalten wird.
